C.W. Minor – Retired member passed away today, September 2, 2010.  C.W. had been hospitalized for the last several weeks suffering a long term illness.  There are no funeral arrangements at this time.  His wife Joyce “Sissy” Minor will contact Local 85 once arrangements for a Memorial Serice have been established.

 

The elderly mother of SMWIA Local 85 retired member Hayden & Buster Arrington passed away on August 17th.  Funeral arrangements are as follows:

Mr. Phillip Coley lost his battle with cancer on May 1, 2010.  He worked primarily in the Columbus area.  He is survived by his wife Vicki.

 

 

Retired member Carroll Ogletree passed away Thursday April 15, 2010.  He had been ill for sometime.  Funeral arrangements:

Retired member Farrell Jones passed away on April 3, 2010.  Brother Jones had been hospitalized since March 9, 2010.  His death was reported by his wife Johnnie Rowe.  Brother Jones was cremated – there was no service.  You may send your condolences to:

Retired member James C. Moore Jr. passed away from complications due to cancer on April 1, 2010.  His daughter Daisy Moore has taken him back to Mississippi for burial.  The arrangements are as follows: Funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on April 10, 2010.  No Visitation.

Retired member Joseph E. Wade passed away from COPD on March 19, 2010.  His passing was reported to us on April 1, 2010.

Richard Largen – Retired member passed away Sunday January 10, 2010, per his daughter Paula Largen.  Mr. Largen was cremated and no services will be planned.  Condolence flowers were sent to his daughter in Phoenix City, AL.

 

Frankie C. Young, journeyman sheet metal mechanic and member of SMWIA Local 85 for 9 years, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2009.  As you remember, Frankie had an automobile accident December 1, 2009.  During the treatment for his injuries they discovered he had a brain tumor.  He has been in a coma for quite some time.  Funeral arrangements are as follows:  Wimberely-Jackson Funeral Home
